“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

As you can see, contrary to popular belief the Bill of rights does not give us certain rights.  The Founders recognized that these were God given rights and sought to prohibit government from taking them away. Little did they know that “Congress”, in all its wisdom  would find a way of empowering a fake government, aka a residential association where these rights would be trampled on at will.  The explanation is that by owning a home you “agreed” to forfeit your

Constitutionally protected rights.  NO, you did not.

It’s a start.  Join Jan and me for a lively discussion of this new bill and how, when passed, will reaffirm constitutionally protected rights.

  1. @17:05 We found an attorney opinion. The opinion was, “You’re on less than concrete foundation. But since homeowners won’t avail themselves of their rights, go ahead. And should you be challenged” – in other words, if somebody sues you for being so overtly disgusting – “you can make a decision based on the economics of the situation.” In other words, if the homeowner has a good case and is likely to win, you can back off.

    Citation, please.

  2. @38:15 It will get really interesting this year in Florida, with the election for the State House. There is a kid who was an intern in the White House, and he runs on the ticket of HOA reform.

Jan is referring to Sayd Hussain

If you look at the platform section of his web site, “Homeowners/Condo Association Reform” is the very first item.

The second item is “Submit Legislation to Protect Senior Citizens from Senior Abuse & Senior Bullying”.

If you draw the two issues as circles in a Venn Diagram, the area of overlap is very large.
